1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to VDL Aviation Sp. z o.o., registered in Poland under KRS number 0000985925, with its registered office at ul. Postępu 12, lok. B, 02-676 Warszawa, Poland.

The data controller responsible for your personal data is Erwin van de Lagemaat. You can contact us at any time at info@vdlaviation.com or by post to the address above.

2. What data we collect and why

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit our contact form. The data we collect is:

  • Full name — to address you correctly in our reply
  • Email address — to send you our response
  • Phone number — optional, to call you if you prefer
  • Course interest and message — to understand your enquiry and provide a relevant response

We do not collect any other personal data. We do not use tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or analytics software.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR), given when you tick the consent checkbox and submit the contact form. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@vdlaviation.com. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before withdrawal.

4. How long we keep your data

We retain your enquiry data for a maximum of 12 months from the date of your submission. If your enquiry leads to a training contract, we will retain the relevant data for the duration of the contract and for 5 years thereafter, as required by Polish accounting law.

After the retention period, your data is permanently deleted.

5. Who we share your data with

Your data is processed by the following third party on our behalf:

  • Formspree Inc. (United States) — our contact form processor. When you submit the form, your data is transmitted to Formspree's servers, which forward it to our email inbox and then delete it. Formspree uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission to ensure an adequate level of data protection for transfers to the United States. We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with any other third party.

6. Fonts and technical infrastructure

This website uses Bunny Fonts (bunny.net) to display typography. Bunny Fonts is a GDPR-compliant alternative to Google Fonts, hosted entirely within the European Union. No personal data (including IP addresses) is transferred to any third party for font loading.

This website is a static site. It does not use cookies, browser storage, tracking pixels or analytics of any kind. The English and Polish versions are served as separate pages, so no data about your language choice is stored or transmitted.

7. Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject in the EU, you have the following rights:

  • Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Right to erasure — you may request that we delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Right to restriction — you may request that we limit how we process your data.
  • Right to data portability — you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object — you may object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Right to withdraw consent — you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
